Learning the basics of Whoa

At 4 months he really started to turn it on.  I threw a live pigeon into the water for a friends dog to retrieve.  His dog didn’t see it, so it turned out to be Brewers to retrieve.  Around this time we also started to train for hunting season.

The beginning of what would be quite a year for me, and my pup, Brewer.  A rookie trainer with a fresh canvas to work with, here is our story.

I drove down to Wisconsin to pick my Chump Change pup up in May 2004. It was an 10.5 hour drive down, and 12 hours back.  .

His introduction to water started the day he got home.  Brewer’s introduction to birds began at 10 weeks of age.
