The 2005 bird season has come and gone in Manitoba, again, already.  2005 would be my second season hunting with Brewer.  I truly wonder how I ever hunted without a dog for all those years.  For those who hunt with a dog; you know what I speak of; for those who don’t.  What are you waiting for?

We started the 2005 the same way we did the previous year; by participating in the Manitoba youth hunt sponsored by Delta Waterfowl.  In 2005 we participated in both hunts, in Netley and Delta Marshes.  We were also participants in the first ever Upland youth hunt; where youths were able to hunt pen raised pheasants over pointing dogs.  It’s the only kind of pheasant hunting we get in Manitoba without leaving the province.
